This is good, but language for add and edit don't have any effect in the recordlist unless there in the global language file. For example:
"add" => "Begin Application", "edit" => "Edit Application",
These don't have any effect on the "add" and other links on top of the recordlist when they are defined in the module language file...
It could be that the keys need to have a prefix of some kind when they are defined in the module language file. Just more explanation there.
